Alex Nall is a cartoonist and teaching artist living in Chicago, Il. His comics have been featured in Newcity, The Chicago Reader, Kilgore Quarterly, and many zine and comic anthologies. He is the author of multiple comic book series including
Teaching Comics,
10 Mini-Comics, and
Aloof. His series
Teaching Comics collects the stories of his experience as a teaching artist in public schools. Volume One was released as a self-published graphic novel in June 2016. Alex is also a co-organizer for Chicago Zine Fest, as well as a comics instructor/coordinator for Chicago Publishers Resource Center. He has also been organizing Saturday Night Drink n' Draw, a drawing meet-up group open to any artists since May 2013. He works as a teaching artist at an elementary school and a library assistant in Oak Park, Il.
